ABU DHABI, Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President’s Representative, the Sultan bin Zayed Centre is organising a seminar on 4th April 2018, entitled, ‘Education Development in the UAE’, under the slogan, ‘Towards a Modern Education System’.
The seminar, which will take place at the Abu Dhabi Theatre at Breakwater, will be attended by scholars and experts in educational development field from around the world.
The seminar’s launch will include a speech by Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, followed by other speeches by Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, and Michael Stephenson, Senior Advisor at the Directorate of Education and Skills of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Mansour Saeed Amhy Al Mansouri, Deputy Director-General of the Sultan bin Zayed Centre, said that the seminar will include a discussion on a scientific research paper, which is based on field visits to schools and education departments in the country.
“The participants will also hold meetings with specialists and professionals, to create a comprehensive view of the state of education in the UAE,” he added.
Al Mansouri stressed that the seminar’s participants aim to benefit from research studies on curriculum development, as well as to improve the skills of teachers and raise their capacities, develop an educational infrastructure, and create a suitable education environment that supports innovation and excellence among students.
He called on university professors, school teachers and those interested in education to participate in the seminar.
