Social media ambassadors of Abu Dhabi Media participate in interactive Snapchat workshop

ABU DHABI, — Social media ambassadors from Abu Dhabi Media’s UAE Buzz Team, have participated in a specialised two-day interactive workshop on the use of the Snapchat application for business, under the patronage and support of the Middle East Public Relations Association, MEPRA.

The training was organised in line with Abu Dhabi Media’s commitment to training its employees and developing their professional skills, as well as an important part of the organisation’s ongoing efforts to enhance its public services.

The workshop, titled “Snapchat for Business”, focussed on ways to interact using this social platform from a new perspective, by learning the secrets of success achieved by using many available public channels on Snapchat.

The social media ambassadors were able to learn new ways of conducting research for reaching specific audiences, communicating with influential people, developing strategic content and creating interactive content to develop a deep insight on the sector, as well as the latest developments that will enable them to expand their network and develop their professional skills using SnapChat, while measuring their access to public followers through social media outlets.

“Abu Dhabi Media has created short and long-term plans to develop its employees and enhance their capabilities at various levels, in line with its ongoing drive to adopt the latest media and technology best practices, and provide targeted and qualitative content for its audience,” said Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Managing Director and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Media.

Salem Al Nuaimi, Acting Head of the Communication Department of Abu Dhabi Media, stressed that organising these workshops and encouraging social media influencers to participate will enhance regional corporate communication practices, helping to consolidate Abu Dhabi’s commitment to the highest standards of excellence in the industry, while continuing to provide the most advanced media services to its audiences and followers across the UAE and around the world.

MEPRA strives to establish the highest standards of excellence in media communication in the region for industry experts and professionals, as well as the Abu Dhabi Media team, to identify the latest trends in the sector, build wide networks of relationships and enhance their professional skills.

The “UAE Buzz” service was launched in 2016 as a new Abu Dhabi Media service on social media platforms, also titled “Social Media Ambassadors”, in line with the ongoing development in digital media in the region, as reflected in the promotion of Abu Dhabi Media’s presence in social media channels, and the reliance on new and creative channels for highlighting various initiatives and events launched by Abu Dhabi Media.
