SHARJAH, — A delegation from Sharjah Airport Authority, headed by its chairman Ali Salim Al Midfa, visited the 13th Sharjah Biennial, SB13, to see the artwork on display and enhance cooperation with the biennial organisers and participating artists.
Sharjah Biennial, one of the prominent art exhibitions held in the UAE and the region, is being held under the theme, “Tamawuj”, a rising and falling in waves, at the Sharjah Art Foundation.
Ali Salim Al Midfa said, “The authority’s visit to the exhibition is part of our strategy and commitment to strengthen cooperation and partnership with various governmental and semi-governmental bodies, and to keep abreast with cultural and artistic events that are organised and hosted by the emirate and to communicate with its organisers and participants.”
He stressed the importance of raising the artistic and cultural value of employees by introducing them to different works of art at the biennial’s exhibitions and activities and to highlight the role of art in combining different cultures in one language to facilitate better cultural communication.
The delegation, which included Sheikh Faisal bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, visited the Calligraphy Square, the Art Square, Sharjah Art Foundation and Al Mureijah Square.
