Nahyan bin Mubarak attends Egyptian Embassy’s reception on 23rd July Revolution

ABU DHABI, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, today attended a reception hosted by Sherif Mohammed Fouad Al Bedewi, Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE, on the occasion of the 70 anniversary of 23rd July Revolution.

The event, held at Hotel Fairmont Bab Al Bahr – Abu Dhabi, was also attended by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; a number of top Emirati officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; members of Arab and Foreign Diplomatic corps accredited to the UAE, and members of the Egyptian Community to the UAE.

In his remarks on the occasion, Al Bedewi said that over the past decades, the Egyptian-Emirati relations have witnessed remarkable leaps that mirror the strong ties based on fraternity principles, whose foundations were laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, followed by the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and being supported by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Egyptian Ambassador added that the UAE-Egyptian ties are exceptional and based on harmony between the two fraternal peoples given their great development during the past decades.

He also lauded the efforts of the UAE in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic and provided a role model in combatting health challenges. The Egyptian diplomat also emphasisd that coordination between Cairo and Abu Dhabi is in the interest of joint Arab action.

Al Bedewi also highlighted the growing Emirati investments in Egypt that stood at more than US$ 20 billion, and the increase in the trade exchange volume between Egypt and the UAE to US$7 billion annually.
