KHARTOUM, Under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, witnessed the launch of the 6th edition of the Arab Poetry Festival, which was organised by the Sharjah Department of Culture for 3 days, with the wide participation of poets, writers and intellectuals from Sudan and several Arab countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Owais, Head of the Department of Culture in Sharjah; Hamad Mohammed Humaid Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, and a number of Sudanese officials, in addition to diplomats, academics, and students.
