CAIRO, Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports has opened 20 state-of-the-art centres to provide free service on development of skills and rehabilitation of people of determination in 12 governorates.
The opening of these centres is in implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding signed in June 2021 between Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) and the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports in partnership with ADQ office in Cairo to establish 60 speech therapy centres in three years, establishing 20 centres every year.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, praised these maiden projects between the ZHO and his ministry as a ”message of love from the UAE to Egypt” and thanked the ZHO and UAE leadership and people for their continuing support for Egypt.
The centres are equipped with the latest audio-visual systems to provide free session for speech therapy, behavior modification, skills development, learning difficulties, sensory integration and psychological evaluation.
The project targets groups suffering autism, speech and language delay, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties and behavior modification.
The ministry announced that eight other centers are being prepared to open in the coming period.
