Hazza bin Zayed receives President of International Judo Federation

ABU DHABI, 6th November, 2016 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has received Marius Vizer, President of the International Judo Federation.

Also present during the meeting was Mohamed bin Tha’loob, President of the Wrestling, Judo and Kick Boxing Federation, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the IPIC Judo Grand Slam Abu Dhabi 2016, which recently concluded at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Hazza.

His Highness was briefed by Mr. Vizer on the events and activities carried out by the International Judo Federation and its most important programmes and future plans, as well as touching on the UAE’s participation in the field of judo, and its distinctive contributions to the Olympic Games held recently in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

His Highness Sheikh Hazza commended the on-going efforts of the International Judo Federation for the services its provided in the field.

The President of the International Judo Federation extended an honorary invitation to Sheikh Hazza to attend the World Judo Championships set to take place in August in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, in recognition of His Highness’ role in the service of the UAE sports in various fields.
