H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, visited the first edition of the Liwa Date Festival and Auction, organised by the Cultural Programmes and Heritage Festivals Committee, until 24th October in Liwa City in Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Hamdan visited a number of the participating pavilions where the latest techniques used in the date industry are on display. He was briefed on the edutainment activities accompanying the festival, including competitions, musicals, and poetic soirees.
Sheikh Hamdan concluded his visit by praising the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his continued support for heritage events.
