Glo Urges Eaglets to Beat South Africa (allAfrica.com)

Major sponsor of Nigerian national teams, Globacom, has enjoined the Emmanuel Amuneke led coaching crew of the Golden Eaglets to ensure that Nigeria defeats South Africa today to qualify for the finals of the ongoing 2015 African Junior Championship in Niger Republic. The other semi final encounter is between Mali and Guinea.
Glo commended Eaglets and their handlers for picking one of the tickets on offer for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Chile later this year. The Eaglets are the defending champions of the U-17 World Cup. The team emerged victorious in 2013 after defeating Mexico in the finals by three goals to nil in UAE.
The telecoms giants further congratulated the Golden Eaglets on their victory against Zambia. With the victory of the Eaglets over Niger, the host in the first match, a draw with Guinea in the second and three 3-1 defeat of Zambia in their third match, the Nigerian kids topped Group A with seven points.
“We are delighted with the great fighting spirit the team demonstrated so far in the tournament and we believe that this will help the team to progress to the finals and eventually achieve the ultimate goal of lifting the trophy,” the statement added.
