The Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club announced the details of the 22nd President of the UAE Polo Cup, which will take place from 13th to 27th March, 2022, under the patronage of Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Club, supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and in coordination with the UAE Polo Federation.
Today’s press release was attended by Saeed bin Hofan Al Mansouri, Vice Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, Hamad Abdul Rahman Al Sheikh, Executive Director of the Club, and Youssef bin Dasmal, who is representing the participating players, as well as representatives of sponsoring companies.
Six teams will participate in the event, which are Emirates, Al Habtoor, Bin Drai, Abu Dhabi, Dubai Wolves and Ghantoot, the title holders and host team.
The competing teams will be divided into two groups to ensure parity and help raise the technical level of the tournament, with the participation of many prominent national and professional players rated at 18 handicap.
During the press conference, Al Mansouri welcomed the participants and conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Falah, stressing that the club has completed its preparations to host the cup, in line with the event’s stature as one of the leading polo tournaments in the Middle East.
Al Sheikh lauded the directives of Sheikh Falah to ensure the success of the event.
