_: Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received at Ain al-Tineh Palace today Deputy Speaker Elias Bou Saab, with whom he reviewed the general situation, latest political developments and various legislative affairs.
Speaker Berri also received a delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of “Development and Liberation” parliamentary bloc member, MP Ayoub Hmayid, Amal Movement Official Ali Msheik, and Islamic University President, former Minister Hassan Lakkis.
The delegation conveyed to Speaker Berri the greetings of the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and discussed the general conditions and bilateral relations between the two countries. The Iraqi students’ issue with the Ministry of Education in Lebanon was also raised, stressing on holding those responsible accountable.
In this connection, the Iraqi delegation briefed Speaker Berri on the proposed new solutions to solve the problems of Iraqi students, to which the Speaker showed all support.
