Ajman Department of Land launches “Smart Follow-up” Project September 20th, 2022

Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation in Ajman, affirmed that in the interest of the department to adopt the latest working methods and use technology in all its operations and procedures, the “Smart Follow-up” project has been launched to carry out aerial surveys in order to follow up the progress of work in real estate development projects in the Emirate and capture the stages of its implementation by using “drones”, which ensures the accuracy, quick follow-up and regular assessment of projects.

Al Nuaimi added that the department is actively working to enhance its technical capabilities and adopt modern methodologies and work mechanisms in order to improve the quality of its services and develop them to keep up with the rapid pace of growth in Ajman at various levels. He explained that the “Smart Follow-up” project would provide new and qualitative added value, especially with regard to follow-up of real estate projects, by providing clear images, information and accurate data to facilitate the functions of the work teams in the department and allow them to carry out inspection and follow-up with high efficiency in a short time as compared to the traditional methods used.

E. Engineer Omar Bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulatory, stated that the use of unmanned aircraft systems “drones” will be on a large scale to include many other operations and procedures to support employees and facilitate their daily functions through the optimal use of the latest technologies and advanced artificial intelligence devices. He stressed that the development and prosperity that the Emirate of Ajman is witnessing requires the department to redouble its efforts and devote its energies in order to optimize performance and keep up with this growth.
