AFC has postponed the upcoming matches in the Asian Champions League of Al Wahda against Esteghlal and Shabab Al Ahli against Shahr Khodro due to the current Medical conditions in the region.
Mohammed Hazzam Al Dhaheri the General Secretary of the UAE FA said: “We are keen in UAE FA to follow the instructions that is advised by the concerned authorities in UAE about the medical situations and to abide by it to protect our players and the staff”.
Bin Hazzam added: ” The General Secretariat of the Football Association has addressed the AFC and officially informed them of the procedures taken by the United Arab Emirates, whether the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to prohibit travel to some countries as well as the decision of the Civil Aviation Authority regarding the suspension of flights to and from some countries.
Bin Hazam explained that there is continuous communication and coordination with the relevant clubs on what is being taken, stressing his confidence in the AFC to take decisions that will keep everyone safe”.
