ABU DHABI, The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pure Health Group to collaborate in achieving ADPHC goals in controlling and investigating infectious diseases in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The MoU was signed by Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director-General of ADPHC, and Shaista Asif, Group Chief Operating Officer of Pure Health. Top officials from ADPHC and Pure Health and its subsidiaries were present at the signing ceremony.
As part of the MoU, Union71, a subsidiary of Pure Health, will supervise and manage ADPHC’s Biosafety Level 3 ‘BSL3’ Laboratory – to help ADPHC’s goals in controlling and investigating infectious diseases in the Emirate. The state-of-the-art lab supports UAE’s public health scientific research goals on new and infectious diseases as also plays a key role in national emergency responses and joint health investigation programmes.
Al Nuaimi said, “Since its establishment in 2019, ADPHC has played an essential role in the investigation and follow-up of pandemics in line with the guidelines and vision of our wise leadership. As a result, Abu Dhabi has become fully equipped to combat any public health challenges and emergencies. This cooperation with Pure Health will enable us in enhancing the preparations of the UAE’s capital in responding, controlling, and investigating infectious diseases and achieving the vision of the government to ensure a healthy and safe community.”
Shaista Asif commented, “The cooperation between ADPHC and our subsidiary Union71, reinforces the group’s enhanced capabilities in managing and operating highly complex medical facilities in the country. As a leading player in the domain, Union71 will provide diagnostic and surveillance services backed by high-quality and accurate data to ADPHC, which will go a long way in investigating and controlling infectious diseases in the Emirate. The surveillance laboratory will follow the highest quality assurance standards that will enable it to produce reliable and accurate results in a timely manner. With our Clinical and operation experts, and specialists, we are confident of managing a comprehensive surveillance and monitoring mandate to enhance emergency and crisis response time.”
