Abu Dhabi Chamber Chairman, Turkish Ambassador discuss boosting trade cooperation

ABU DHABI, Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has received Tugay Tuncer, Ambassador of Turkey to the UAE, at the chamber’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

Al Mazrouei wished the Turkish Ambassador all the best in performing his duties and boosting cooperation relations between the UAE and Turkey, especially in the trade and investment fields.

He highlighted the strong relations between the two countries, pointing out that such relations are vital in driving economic development in both countries.

The Chairman noted that the UAE is the biggest trade partner of Turkey in the region, emphasising the need to increase the cooperation between businesses in Abu Dhabi and Turkey. He noted that Abu Dhabi is one of the most important business destinations considering its attractive business environment and the incentives it offers investors to explore the available investment opportunities in diverse sectors, including tourism, hospitality, IT, 4th industrial revolution, renewable energy, food industry, food security, and logistics to name a few.

For his part, Ambassador Tuncer commended the huge developmental growth of the UAE, stressing Turkey’s eagerness to explore the prospects for furthering economic cooperation with the UAE.

The ambassador underscored the importance of coordinating with Abu Dhabi Chamber to increase exchanged visits between Abu Dhabi Chamber and Emirati businesses, and their Turkish counterparts, to serve their common interests.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Chamber.
