RTA briefs Residency and Foreigners Affairs on corporate governance practices

ABU DHABI — The Roads & Transport Authority, RTA, has briefed a visiting delegation from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs about the best practices of corporate governance adopted by the RTA. The visit conforms to RTA’s strategy of sharing expertise and knowledge with all Government entities in Dubai.

“The visit of the Directorate of Residency signals the keenness to identify the standards of governance and audit adopted by RTA, which nurture an environment conducive to integrity, transparency, justice and accountability,” said Abdullah Al-Jawi, Director of Internal Audit of RTA.

The presentation shed light on the responsibilities of governance audit such as the assessment of internal audit systems of strategic activities with the aim of identifying the scope of governance audit under the annual audit plan. It also covered the provision of advice to organisational units in matters related to auditing and monitoring to ensure the compliance with the applicable rules, policies and regulations.
