Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation receives AED4 million for its educational programme from DIB

ABU DHABI, — The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has received a donation with a value of AED4 million from Dubai Islamic Bank, DIB, for its educational programme for students in higher education, following the signing of an MoU between the two institutions earlier this week.

The Dubai Islamic Bank donation falls in line with the #Year of Giving initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as an excellent opportunity to build strong partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, Director-General of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, received the donated cheque from Abdul Razzaq Al Abdullah, Head of the Community Services Department at DIB.

Al Khouri said that through this cooperation, 1,775 higher education students with limited income would be supported with 915 laptops and 860 iPads.

The Director-General noted that the number of students who benefited from the backing of the foundation during previous years had reached over 160,000 across the Emirates.

Al Abdullah stated that the support offered by DIB is part of the cooperation, coordination and social partnership between different sectors in the country that reflects the spirit and values of cooperation, solidarity and tolerance in the UAE community.
