ERC distributes relief aid to Hadramaut citizens

HADRAMAUT — The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has distributed food aid to the people of Sah District in the Hadhramaut Governorate, Yemen, as part of the UAE’s efforts to ease the suffering of the Yemeni people, as their humanitarian situation is worsening.

As part of the authority’s efforts to reach and support the underprivileged, the ERC sent a field team to assess their needs, and relief aid was distributed to hundreds of people suffering from power outages and problems of delivering drinking water to their homes.

The families who received the assistance expressed their thanks and gratitude to the UAE for its continued humanitarian support.

The head of the ERC team, Abdullah Al Musaferi, said that the distribution of food aid comes as part of the ERC’s mandate to alleviate the suffering of citizens, help fill the food gap, and improve their living conditions, the moral and humanitarian duty to which the UAE is committed.

He expressed the ERC’s keenness to continue implementing humanitarian and relief projects to reach all citizens in need in different Hadramaut directorates.
