Ajman Police organises traffic safety awareness campaign for motorbike delivery riders

AJMAN — The Traffic and Patrols Department in the General Command of Ajman Police has carried out an awareness campaign directed at delivery service motorcyclists as part of the Ministry of Interior’s objectives to enhance road and traffic safety.

Lt. Col. Saif Abdullah Al Falasi, Deputy-Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, said that the campaign was aimed to further enhance road and traffic safety by engaging with, and informing, delivery service motorcyclists on necessary safety measures, including wearing helmets, ensuring the proper functioning of tyres and brake systems, and a commitment to adhering to traffic laws in place.

Members of the Traffic and Patrol Department distributed 400 informative brochures to drivers employed in a number of restaurants and organisations as part of the campaign.

Al Falasi said that Ajman Police is also continuing its campaign of arresting traffic violators. He called on the public and road users to take all measures of safety and security, and to abide by traffic rules.
