ADDED Under-Secretary emphasises Abu Dhabi Government’s desire to support industrial sector

ABU DHABI, — Khalifa bin Salem Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, ADDED, has emphasised the desire of the Government of Abu Dhabi to provide all forms of support to investors in the industrial sector.

All the support will enable them to make a success of their investments and provide added value to the emirate’s economy and reflect its directions for achieving the economic development goals of Abu Dhabi’s plan.

During his tour of four new factories that began operations in Abu Dhabi in 2016, Al Mansouri was keen to follow-up on the performance of these plants through repeated visits by the working team to assess their needs to ensure the highest rate of competitiveness in the industrial sector.

He added that the economic activities of the new factories reflect the performance of Abu Dhabi’s industrial strategy from 2017 to 2021, which focuses on industrial equipment, metal derivative products, plastics and other industries.

He called upon Abu Dhabi’s industrial sector’s development bodies, including the Higher Corporation for Specialised Economic Zones, ZonesCorp, and the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi, Kizad, as well as the Industrial Development Bureau, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other related bodies, to provide support to these factories and monitor their needs. This is to enhance the business environment in the industrial sector and provide greater added value using less natural materials, as well as improve knowledge and innovation through intellectual property protection while encouraging further investments in the industrial sector.
