Abdullah bin Zayed inaugurates new State Embassy headquarters in Rome

ROME — H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, MoFAIC, yesterday inaugurated the new headquarters of the State Embassy in Rome, during his official visit to Italy.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Angelino Alfano, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, revealed a commemorative plaque marking the inauguration of the new headquarters.

Sheikh Abdullah and his Italian counterpart toured the facilities of the new building.

Sheikh Abdullah said that the opening of the new embassy headquarters reflects the UAE government’s keenness to promote and develop bilateral relations with Italy in order to serve the interests of both peoples.

Angelino Alfano expressed his pleasure at the opening of the embassy, which will support the communication between the two friendly countries and peoples, and maintain the strong and distinctive bilateral relations that combine them.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mohammed Mir Abdullah Al Raisi, Under-Secretary of MoFAIC, Saqr Nasser Al Raisi, UAE Ambassador to Italy, and representatives from various ministries in the Italian government, and a number of ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Italy.
